BC Protege +
Overview
What is BC Protege+?
BC Protege+ is a free service provided by the Central Bank that allows individuals and companies to notify the financial system of their desire not to open new accounts or be included as representatives in third-party accounts.
- The citizen can activate or deactivate the protection at any time, with immediate effect, using the gov.br platform.
- Financial institutions are required to check the system before proceeding with account openings or adding representatives.
When will it be consulted?
The BC Protege+ system will be consulted in the following situations:
- When opening accounts (individuals and companies);
- When adding new account holders or representatives to existing accounts;
- In critical data changes (e.g., change of CPF/CNPJ);
- During account registration (final activation).
